Emily Hill
Tutor
Emily is a full time academic at UCFB Wembley where she is the programme leader for the sports business and coaching degree and lectures across the coaching programmes at the University.
Emily is a UEFA B Licence coach with experience of working within The FA’s Girls’ Talent Pathway (regional talent centre and player development centre settings). She also has over eight years’ experience of working with women’s teams within higher education.
In addition to roles in coaching, Emily has held previous roles in football development with a focus on youth and education. Alongside her professional roles Emily still also still volunteers within the game, co-founding and running the community football club South London Laces.
Emily also works for The FA as an affiliate coach education tutor delivering across a variety of courses and has previously worked directly with coaches and clubs as an FA Coach Mentor. She is also a 1st4Sport Tutor for UCFB and the Coaching Xchange, delivering coaching qualifications. As well as working as a Coach Developer for the PowerHouse Project.
Emily also has a current role as a Talent Reporter (Scout) for England National Teams and FA Player Insights Team. With a focus on talent identification within the Youth Development Phase and WSL Academy teams.
She has achieved a BSc (Hons) in Sport Development and Coaching and has a Masters Degree in Sport and Physical Education, which involved a research focus on the playground environment, physical activity levels and play behaviours of early years’ foundation stage (EYFS) children.
Emily also has a Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).
