Darren Smith

Darren Smith is the Associate Dean for Sports Coaching and Performance at UCFB and an FA Coach Developer for UEFA B and C licences. A UEFA A Licence holder, Darren has worked with some of the country’s top clubs, including Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea FC and Charlton Athletic. With a strong passion for developing both players and coaches, Darren is committed to creating environments that support growth, learning and long-term success. Alongside his technical expertise, he is a strong advocate for increasing diversity and representation within the sports industry, ensuring opportunities are accessible for all. In recognition of his impact and leadership, Darren was recently honoured with the Practitioner of the Year award at the Football Black List.
