CX Team Experience @ Atletico Madrid

On 24th April 2024, CX took UCFB Women’s Academy to Madrid for a Team Experience, where the group spent the week in the life of a Atletico Madrid Women’s player. From training, to nutrition the group was fully integrated into the club. Team Experience packages are just one of the services CX has to offer. I recently returned from a trip to Madrid with Coaching Xchange and my university football team. The opportunity to train with Atletico Madrid academy coaches is a dream come true for every football enthusiast. I had the privilege to receive training from these experts, learning from them about the game and their passion for it, and using what I learned in my next games and career endeavours. In addition, I had the opportunity to attend a lecture on their approach to managing their academies and a discussion on how they analyse their teams and apply lessons learned from past performances to upcoming games. I will always remember the excitement of seeing a live football game at the Atletico Madrid stadium. Every moment was remarkable, from the thrilling atmosphere to the incredible abilities of talent on the pitch. It served as a reminder of the ability of sports to unite people and the boundless joy it brings to fans around the world. I am extremely thankful for the memories created and the experiences I had when I was in Madrid.

I will always remember this experience, including the amazing atmosphere of the stadium, the knowledge and advice I received from the academy coaches, and the great time I had with those around me. My understanding of football and how it varies across countries has greatly increased because of this trip; the insights I gained were invaluable, and it has given me the ability to broaden my knowledge and apply it to my future endeavours. Many thanks to Darren Smith, Emily Hill, and Coaching Xchange for this incredible opportunity and once-in-a-lifetime trip.

Beth F – The experience was unforgettable, from getting to experience a range of training sessions put on by experienced coaches to receiving insightful talks around methodology and analysis to finally being given an incredible experience of seeing the players walk into the stadium before a game the whole experience was one I will never forget, a massive thank you to Coaching Xchange for running such a successful and rewarding trip facilitated by incredible staff members.

Jess J – The trip was amazing! It was really interesting to see the differences in coaching in England compared to Spain. I am hoping to use what I have learnt from the coaches in Spain to help me develop as a coach. It was also great to experience the football scene in another country. Massive thank you to Coaching Xchange, Darren Smith and Emily Hill! I believe I have learned so much from this trip and had an incredible time.
